About Albstadt-Sigmaringen University

We are a small state university of applied sciences located in the south of Germany. The university was founded in 1971 and has two campus locations, Albstadt and Sigmaringen with in total 30 degree programmes (bachelor, master and distance learning). We have three research focus topics:

•          DITI | Digitalization - IT Security - Industry 4.0
•          GEB | Health - Nutrition – Biomedicine
•          NESP | Sustainable Development - Smart Materials and Products

The bachelor programmes textile and clothing technology and sustainable engineering as well as the Master degree programme textile and clothing management are based in Albstadt. In these programmes approx. 350 students are enrolled. We focus on product development and final products out of textile materials and students can choose different specialisations e.g. Sport&Outdoor, Fashion, Smart Textiles, Knitting Technology or Technical Textiles and Products. We have a big number of well-equipped labs which are used for teaching and research and can be visited online through our website.
